Time for me to update on life.
Well yeah, I’ve just been transferred back to my previous department last week, as the ‘upstairs’ department has nothing for me to do anymore (FYI, I rotted in office for 1.5 days doing nothing at all except surfing the web before the transfer back). Mixed feelings. Upstairs: I did something related to what I learn from school. Downstairs: Fun, but prepare for OT and more OT. It’s still okay, I’m quick to adapt to different surroundings already. LOL!
On Sunday, went to Botanic Gardens with this bunch of friends to player soccer, frisbee and captain’s ball. Wooo, it was even more exhausting than the badminton session we had on the previous week! After that, we headed to Holland V’s NYDC for lunch in a small Nissan squeezed with 8 people!!!
There, we celebrated ZY’s birthday and we must be the loudest and noisest group in NYDC then. We talked a lot and I found out that it’s a common thing among us that we used to listen to English pop songs, before switching over to Yanzi then to Mandopop converts. Haha! Westlife was so hot during my Pri 5 & 6 days…
I’m always looking forward to the weekends, who don’t? Haha…
7 more days to BFDA! I’ve watched the sneak previews on MobTV (no spoilers here!) but only watched RE’s parts. My expectation for her dramas is like sky high, and I’m glad to say that in these 5 episodes, I wasn’t disappointed at all. I’m greatly impressed in fact, by her emotional-filled voice and expressions. In my heart, she has win Best Actress hands down. LOL!

^Pepper has to be the cutest & luckiest dog ever!

^The Nikon D1 seriously looked too big for her hands, IMO. And her hands seemed like they might break anytime. Eat more chicken rice!!!
Yes, listen to the ending theme song by her too. Not much comments right now, but the tune just keeps repeating in my head during work.
My mum placed this vase of flowers on the dining table as there was some visitors over the weekend. A couple days ago, I was having dinner alone, looking at this and suddenly had this temptation to fiddle with my new toy again. Played around with bounce lights. Not the best composition though, with restricted space and background.
My amateurish attempt:

And I was laughing away silly-ly at work. Culprit? The video on Facebook of the Miss India Universe which Ade took when we were at the airport on that eventful Sunday. =D
OMG, I’m getting high once again. This has to be the most memorable day spent with this great bunch of BFF (more of this lingo later, okay?).
Met Aud and Ade at Tiong Bahru to have their lunch, then Eve, JM and Queen joined us shortly after that. We spend quite some time writing lurb birthday letters to Joselyn using our non-master hand! After writing LJW letter in completely Chinese, now I had to write using my left hand?! *faints* But the process was rather enjoyable lah, all the “roses are red, violets are blue”, “lurb euu 4eva n eva” etc. LOL!!! (Alright, mine had none of these, so it was boring as usual… T_T )
After that, we headed to Kim Seng CC for our badminton session but we went round and round before reaching our destination. The group of people who played before us were @#$%^&*…but I shall not talk about it further. Anyway, we started playing asap. Woots! The feeling being on a proper court was so good! I paired up with Queen during our double matches. Wooo, our chemistry was good man!!! Three cheers to INDONESIA!!! The champions! =X The flag raising with red & white towels was really funny. LOL! Bengawan solo~~~
Before rushing to the airport, we went to Ade’s house to shower because we stank and I really felt sticky all over. THANKS SO MUCH, ADE!!! At least we wouldn’t have to let Yanzi pinch her nose when she met us. Haha! =P Before leaving Ade’s place, we gave Joselyn her belated birthday present, Brinjal the Crumpler. LOL!
*Yanzi’s part will be updated in the next post.*
It seems like we head to Popeye most of the time for celebrative occasions, including yesterday. I too think that it’s so much better than KFC, thought the prices are slightly higher. Their fries just reminds me of the curly fries fom A&W. Miss it so much!
After our dinner, we went to the fountain to let Joselyn sort out our letters which were jumbled up together. Haha, she took quite a long time to figured them out. Once she completed her task, we started ‘camwhoring’ for about AN HOUR and there were countless passers-by who never failed to stare at us. Trying to fit every one of us into the picture, doing funny expressions for our emoticons, using trolley as tripod etc. Haha! Seven crazy girls…
That wasn’t the end! As we walked back to the carpark, Joselyn was told to squat in the trolley while Ade recorded the video and Aud pushed her and being the host of Miss Universe, passing through the masses of people. LOL! OMG! Although I wasn’t involved in that, I felt so paisey for them! Craziness!
So Queen gave us a lift back to Tanah Merah so that we could cabbed back. Just as she was about to stop her car at the taxi stand, she mounted onto the kerb and I could actually felt the car jerking up on my side! O_O!!! We went down and found that the tyre was punctured! OMG!
I still find it so amazing girls could actually change a flat tyre in less than an hour! Actually it was mainly Aud & Eve changing the tyre, and Ade stepped on the lever to screw/unscrew the knobs, while I just watched as I didn’t know how to help. Heh! The spare tyre was cute lah, it was much smaller than the original ones. LOL!
OMG…cool shyt. What a way to end a weekend! So happening lah! The highlight of this day wasn’t Yanzi, but Queen instead! OMG, you stole her limelight!
Finally, this blog entry isn’t complete without this:
ohmigawd! gals power! ii learn new tingss everiddaee, thnxxx 2 all of euuu! woweeeeee! euuu r miee best frenzxz 4eva! i lurbs euuu all shooo muchh! hope euuu have a wonderful week! muackxzx! yanzi 4eva! spread the lurbs! <333
WAHAHAHA! This crazy lingo is still going around madly. BAHHH!!!
The statement in the entry title makes me LOL.
I think I’m quite weird recently.
On Wednesday, I made myself OT for an hour because I felt I had not been doing a good job for my work, until I had to be told to go home immediately.
On Thursday, when I could have waited for the shuttle bus to ferry us up to our office, I chose to climb the stairs.
Yesterday, I got to stressed up from work that I kept thinking about mouse. (I had cheese steak + cheese for dinner during our mousey business at Subway.)
WOOHOOHOO!!! Aud & I finally got our toys today. She got her 55-250 lens at Cathay Photo, then we went to John 3:16 at Funan to look for her bag and my 430EX II. (Wah lao, why can’t someone go there one week later? The shops are on the same floor too! Haha!) Sadly, they didn’t have what we wanted, but I must say the staff there are really friendly people. If not for my super tight budget, I would have waited for another three days and pay $25 more to buy from them. John 3:16 rules! Haha! (BTW, it’s not a Christian shop lah. LOL!)
Went back to MS Color at AMK and finally bought my flash. Dang! Poverty!

Below are the photos to show the differences between the in-built flash and various angles of the flash directions. (No post-processing done at all.)
In-built flash from 450D

Direct from 430EX II

45° pointing upwards

75° pointing upwards (IMO, the best one of the five photos)

90° pointing upwards

OMG, look at the differences and flexibility to control lighting. Loving every bit of my new toy! It’s quite heavy even without batteries. Can already feel my camera ‘wobbling’ when I held it at vertical position. Can’t imagine what would happen to my arms if I bought a 580EX II instead. =P
Next up - make my own bounce card and learn post-processing in Lightroom 2.
Alrighty! From the start of this coming week, I shall strictly restrict myself to spend less than $30 every week. One thing, to save my bank account which is dried up. More importantly, I have yet to treat my family to a nice meal after getting my pathetic pay.
I see SQUARES at work.
Back home, I see more SQUARES.
Now, I see everyone as SQUARISH.
“Nah, I kid.”
Another week gone, I can’t believe I played sports thrice this week. And it’s gonna be my 6th week for IAP! That’s fast! Hohoho…October is the month!

Thou shall be mine this coming weekend! Wahaha!
Time to update a bit…
2nd week in another department, yes I think I’ve gotten used to the place now (though I still very much prefer the previous department). Initially, I was tasked to do with some jobs which I find it terribly ‘robotic’ (is that how engineers work? =X ) - just clicking everywhere according what is stated. Eventually, I was given more interesting tasks to do (at the same time getting busier too). That’s better, at least I get to apply what I’ve learnt in school for work purposes. So it isn’t that bad now. I’m wondering if I still have to chance to go back to the previous department, I like the atmosphere there so much more.
Woots! I’m loving our weekly ’sports meet’, and OMG…the auntie at STTA recognised us, and remembered how many courts/hours we want to book already. LOL! Had a few matches yesterday and I only won one of them, that makes me the 2nd runner-up for the day. HAHAHA! =P Now my right arm ah…sng yi zhi~
I was told that my attitude was very hostile this morning. I think I really was, but rather towards the whole situation rather than someone. Quite pissed off sometimes to be bothered about such things, but I wish I can ignore those and treat it as nothing is happening. Duh!
