Super Show 4

Another Super Show. If I’m earning twice as much, I would have gone for the 2nd day without hesitation today. Oh well, but I really treasured every moment of the concert anyway, because it was the last time to see Lee Teuk before his enlistment. Sigh~ So depressing to even think of that. (Can’t imagine the day when Kyu finally enlists.)

An even more magnificent stage this time round, similar to the one in Seoul, just that the length of the stage was so much shorter, LOL! Kyu was so cheeky as usual, with all the “yeah…yeah…yeah” and hand gesture during his intro. There was also this part when Sungmin had to choose a “girlfriend”, who happened to be a fan of Kyu. So she was given a choice to decide who she wants to be with, and she still chose Kyu by giving him a back hug. Poor Sungmin, HAHAHA!

So the prize for choosing Kyu – learning the dance for “You & I”! Kyu even had to take some cues from Eunhyuk cos he forgotten the dance moves. While teaching the dance moves, all he managed in English were “ok, next” and countless times of “you know?”. Siwon who was watching at the side butted in with “you know WHAT?” And finally, Kyu gave the girl a hug! *envious*

I like Teuk’s solo too, because the scenes from WGM just keeps popping up in my mind. Coincidentally, the day was Kang Sora’s birthday! How I wish she was there to watch him again… He gave out roses to the fans at the arena, and a last one to a girl and gave a hug. I spotted the Teuk-Sora board in that area too, I hope he saw that and felt guilty for hugging someone else on his wife’s birthday. HAHAHA! Just kidding! (On a side note: MBC can you stop your labour strike and resume the airing of WGM?!!! It has been the third week!)

The live singing was fabulous…”A-Cha”, “Mr. Simple”, “Storm”, “Sorry Sorry”, etc. Watching them performed for 4 hours with their hearts, you just know why they deserved the popularity and love. It’s not like they sing, dance and entertain, go back shake leg and money goes to them. Amidst the concert tour, they have to juggle with dramas, variety shows and radio hosting, musicals and probably more that I’m not aware of. Looking at them, I feel that our local celebrities are a fortunate and probably a pampered bunch.

Back to the topic, we were quite surprised by the large number of overseas fans who flew in just to watch this concert. No offense, but I didn’t know besides education, housing and jobs, we even have to compete for limited concert tickets with foreigners. SS4 Singapore? It felt like SS4 Southeast Asia.

Now, I’m suffering from post-concert blues, kind of regretted not going for the 2nd day now. In my limited knowledge of the Korean language…

Singapore Hit Awards 2011

Can’t remember when was the last time I enjoyed myself SO MUCH for such events. Haven’t been actively been listening to 933 for the past year, so this award ceremony was a good opportunity for some rediscovery and reminisce of the beauty of Chinese pop.
