Singapore Hit Awards 2011
Can’t remember when was the last time I enjoyed myself SO MUCH for such events. Haven’t been actively been listening to 933 for the past year, so this award ceremony was a good opportunity for some rediscovery and reminisce of the beauty of Chinese pop.

S.H.E is the One
After 5 weeks……I went back to SIS again. That makes the forth concert I’ve watched this year. Faints!

The Answer Is… HK
The day I finally stepped into the Hong Kong Coliseum…as part of the audience, of course. =)
I think I was really exhausted by the crazy shopping earlier in the day, that I didn’t have the energy to be high and screaming at the concert. In fact, I didn’t really enjoyed the first night’s concert, partially due to a group of selfish fans from a province of you-know-where, holding the LED boards so high up throughout the concert that we could hardly see Yanzi from our view. Was really pissed that I have the urge to throw my lightstick at them. Can you imagine Yanzi singing First Day but you were totally sian-ed?
I guess she wasn’t in tip-top condition that night as well. A few parts she went out of tune, out of beat, and almost lost her balance a few times. She even did the “cut throat” action when she sang First Day. Heh! I’m glad the second night was fabulous (this is an understatement).
She was very hyper on the second night, very cute! Like this…

“K.O.”-ed after singing First Day for second encore.
Credits to Serene Koong (one of the bg vocalists).
Hmm, I think she was crying when the lights dimmed before 天黑黑? Not sure, but from our side she looked like she was… =/
After the three encores (whooosh!), the awesome audience requested for a forth one despite of the repeated ‘invitations’ for us to leave the coliseum. She did not appear even though we shouted for 15 minutes. =(
We returned to our hotel, before they headed to a club for “慶功宴” while YL & I stayed in hotel for supper that tasted so nice although it was only bought from 7-Eleven! (Swaku what…I don’t get to eat microwaved food back at home.)
Oh, and did I say the concert merchandise sold there was freakin’ cheap? Especially the Swarovski! My jaws dropped to the ground when I saw the prices. What a steal!
Definitely a memorable experience travelling overseas to watch concerts (and shop till you drop). So shiok that I am already considering my Taiwan trip…
