Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes and presents. Whether you’re my friends from poly, secondary school, primary school, YanziUnlimited, Colours of Kaira, or even friends whom I seldom contact with…I appreciate them lots! A pity I wasn’t at SHA, though Yanzi is important, my family is important too…so I’ve spent my 18th birthday with them. =D

Thanks for the movie and the meal at Vila’ge, my friend.

The same presents from two groups of people - Xiu Mei, and Ade & Bear.

The biggest slice of dark chocolate ice cream cake! =D
And others…
Of course, not forgetting that Yanzi got 6 awards from SHA!
Other related awards…
Wheee~~~ ![]()
I was laughing non-stop when I saw a number of photos from the album which Rui En flipped through in yesterday’s episode of [Metamorphosis].
Imagine looking at photos of yourself taken from a previous drama. LOL! Aud also noticed that one of the tops Lin Xiangping wore was identical to the one Zoe Tay wore in [The Unbeatables 3]. MediaCorp is so…… =.=
Second last episode today. OMG…Xiaoqian will be crying so sadly (out of guilt, maybe)…many thumbs up for Rui En for bringing the character out so real and naturally. BEST ACTRESS FOR STAR AWARDS! =D
Meanwhile, I’m really pissed off with some idiots who posted spoilers without any warnings in MediaCorp forums. Damn!
Anyway, please vote for Yanzi only HERE. Can multi-vote, so please help! Gam sia!
After n months, Yanzi finally left a message at EMI’s forum!

How’s it going little ones?
I reckon someone would come right up to my doorstep to chomp my head off if I should postpone this posting any further. I have been remiss, and am terribly guilty AND apologetic.
WELL.
Since the last message, I have been to Africa, Paris and Prague. I am looking forward to a relaxing trip to Shanghai, Hongkong or possibly Tokyo.
During the times when I had ‘disappeared from the face of mortal earth’, I have been painting miniatures, playing tennis, doing yoga, earning some money, eating ba chor mee at Vivo city (Singapore), reading Agatha Christie, packing my room and watching ratty movies.
Things I have been procrastinating include, updating you guys, repairing my scratched car and calling the bosses.
My brain however, has been actively…er…active. Experience have shown that ideas pop in and out when there is time to breath. I believe it’s called oxygenating the brain cells. So please, do not for a minute think that I would go away and never come back (ala Jeff Buckley), I still have unfinished business.
ok, gotta go.

LOL. I always love the way she writes her messages for us. Ha! She was even online at 1am!
Oh anyway, LOL, I don’t know how to set up internet connection on my laptop. Even tried the wireless network at Mac yesterday, but ROAR!!! Can’t connect! I’m a noob at such things. T_T
I’m so proud of my Yanzi~! She has decided to give up the “Best Local Singer” award to others for Singapore Hit Awards, since she has won it for 5 consecutive years! It was shocking when she announced it, but what she did is really ??. Really so proud of her! *muacks* So now left MLB, JJ, Yida and that HO-ly crap. I’m fine with anyone…EXCEPT HO-LY CRAP! Only if Shijia get nominated too, and I bet she is able to win the award much more easily. Too bad last year no SHA. *sigh*
Read it from here, though the title can be very misleading. Shall update during the next few days. ZzZ…
[EDIT 20070826 1017]
Eeeeee~ Why Jun Yang replaced Yanzi! There’s a much more suitable local singer! (You know who I’m referring to.)

OMG! What is this?!

I guess we’ll miss aunty’s part. T_T
“Rise” is the official Theme Song for the ASEAN 40th Anniversary celebrations. This project was a major undertaking, featuring some of Singapore’s brightest music stars. “Rise” was composed by Singaporean music icon Dick Lee, arranged by award-winning local composer Kenn C., and was performed by Singapore’s pop superstar Stefanie Sun, who is accompanied by a cast of children from across ASEAN.
The music video made its debut at the ASEAN Day Reception on 7th August. The song and music video are available for downloading at the following links:
Look out for “Rise” on local television and radio later this year.

The website finally posted the correct lyrics!
Stefanie Sun - [Rise]
Composed by Dick Lee
Arranged by Kenn CVERSE 1
There is a voice within my mind
Singing the songs of distant times
Speaking the thoughts from lost horizons.
Music and words that must be signs
Shaping the facets that define
How we have come to be the present
Descendants.BRIDGE
Though we’re from ten different lands
Bound by shores of common sand
Singing out as one
Let’s stand
The world is in our handsCHORUS
No matter where we’re from
If we could sing one song
Dreams that are yours and mine
They will be realized
Trusting the love we feel
Trust in the love that’s real
Children unite
People of ASEAN rise.VERSE 2
Chapters unfolding from the past
Speaking of wisdom to my heart
Lessons to learn from our ancestors.
Pushing horizons let’s have faith
Our differences we will embrace
Shaping as one our common future
Our future.REPEAT BRIDGE
REPEAT CHORUS
The song is stuck in my head now.
