A Minute Makes A Huge Difference
The Meaties + Joceline finally had a chance for basketball yesterday, under the scotching sun! Seriously, I don’t know how to play basketball, thus I’m a “stationary player” – passing and shooting, without dribbling at all. Haha!
We stopped playing slightly less than an hour, simply because the weather was too hot. We just proceeded to a nearby coffeeshop to had some cold drinks, when Dajie found out that her handphone was missing. So I called her number hoping to hear the phone ringing, then I was busy talking to them that I didn’t know someone picked up the phone. I only heard some voices for only a second before it was hung up. Damn!
The phone was apparently switched off then, so Hui Mian & I flooded Dajie’s handphone with calls, while Snail SMS-ed (in English + Chinese), hoping the person who picked up the phone will return it. Thankfully, a couple of hours later, HM managed to call through, and the person told her that he was on the way to the police station to report it. Phew~
One thing I found it amazing is that when we were kan jiong-ing over Dajie’s lost handphone, yet she was the most relaxed one among all of us, still joking and laughing away. If it was me, I think I’ll be terribly upset over it. Haha…
We (SGLD + Panda) met up today again, for the I-Weekly charity auction thingy at Ngee Ann City. We actually thought that the auctioning would be held on the stage, so we sat down on the hot ground (which burnt our butts), watching boring and lame “performances” for about an hour, until we sensed something not very right.
We started walking around, only to find that the auctions was actually held at a booth. =.= Snail asked the person for Rui En’s pair of boots which she donated. The person’s reply? “It was sold a minute ago…at $100.”
@#$%^&*! Gek ah! So we were sitting there to watch silly “performances” for nothing! Oh fine, suddenly I wanted to complain.
P/S: I just realized this is the longest entry I’ve posted in 2 months, excluding the photography entries, though I know a picture speaks a thousand words. =)

I’M SO MUCH POORER NOW! Gosh! I shall remind/refrain/discipline myself from buying cam accessories/equipments again, until my bank account recovers. Tsk tsk tsk… My parents will kill me if they find out. T_T
Time to save my bank account which is drying up fast. I wonder why it’s so much easier to spend than save. Sigh.

Night & Dawn
2008.05.18 – Esplanade
Spent 1.5 hours on the Esplanade rooftop experimenting with night shooting. If not for the early morning shoot the next day, we could have taken more pictures near Merlion Park or even Boat Quay.

Experimenting with long exposure.

I thought this could be done better. Haha!
While taking photos there, overheard a couple saying that shooting with DSLRs sure looks cool, yet at the same time looks like tourists. =.= Damn! LOL!
2008.05.19 – East Coast Park
Woke up at 4.30am just for this morning photoshoot. We kinda went to the wrong place (should have gone to Pasir Ris Park instead), but it’s still worth it. Reached there just in time at 6am to catch the sunrise.

The morning sky, at about 6.30am.

Red sun!

Sun rising, at about 7am.

My first attempt at macro photography, using macro extension tube.
In a dilemma whether to get a Benro tripod for $120, which will be donated to Red Cross for the Sichuan earthquake. Should I, should I not? And I’ve yet to get a bigger bag to place all my barang-barang whenever I’m out for photoshoots (hate to carry 2 bags all the time). I’m broke… =(
It’s Monday! Hooray! Will be watching Rui En today from 10.30pm till midnight. =D
