After A Long Time

After n months, Yanzi finally left a message at EMI’s forum!

How’s it going little ones?

I reckon someone would come right up to my doorstep to chomp my head off if I should postpone this posting any further. I have been remiss, and am terribly guilty AND apologetic.

WELL.

Since the last message, I have been to Africa, Paris and Prague. I am looking forward to a relaxing trip to Shanghai, Hongkong or possibly Tokyo.

During the times when I had ‘disappeared from the face of mortal earth’, I have been painting miniatures, playing tennis, doing yoga, earning some money, eating ba chor mee at Vivo city (Singapore), reading Agatha Christie, packing my room and watching ratty movies.

Things I have been procrastinating include, updating you guys, repairing my scratched car and calling the bosses.

My brain however, has been actively…er…active. Experience have shown that ideas pop in and out when there is time to breath. I believe it’s called oxygenating the brain cells. So please, do not for a minute think that I would go away and never come back (ala Jeff Buckley), I still have unfinished business.

LOL. I always love the way she writes her messages for us. Ha! She was even online at 1am!

Oh anyway, LOL, I don’t know how to set up internet connection on my laptop. Even tried the wireless network at Mac yesterday, but ROAR!!! Can’t connect! I’m a noob at such things. T_T

My New Toy!

Yay~!!! My father bought a new laptop during Comex yesterday! Woohoo! No more doing my school work on a LKK PC! Actually he was quite reluctant to go because of the massive jam outside Suntec City, due to lots of road closures.

Anyway, we had our lunch at a buffet at the convention centre. While waiting for a table for five, there was this man in his 40s, with another lady around the same age. When making payment, he took out a $1000 note, but the cashier said they don’t accept such big notes. WTH, the man replied, “Are you doubting if this note is fake?” There was a little commotion, and the man finally gave in and handed a $100 note from his wallet. KNS! Showing off huh? So rich…why don’t you go to the hotel opposite Suntec and have your luxurious meal instead? KNS…pui~! =X

Then my father and I proceed to the halls at level 4, randomly looking at the stuff there, until my father was impressed with the features of one of the Toshiba laptops. Actually before that, I was eyeing on NEC E6300 already. So we went around comparing prices and features of NEC, Toshiba and Compaq. My father didn’t seem to like NEC as he kept trying to prove that Toshiba and Compaq is better than NEC. Roar!!! =.= In the end, it was comparison between Toshiba and NEC, until he saw a guy carrying a Lenovo board walking around. He chiong-ed to the booth and I think the salesperson somehow convinced him to buy Y410. WTH, the time he spent considering this model was so much shorter than comparing the previous brands. =.=

It costs $1399, with free upgrade to 2GB RAM, laptop bag, speakers and optical mouse. xD It was only in the late afternoon, and the prices were already decreasing. Can’t imagine what happened to the prices at night.

Have been playing with it and installing softwares since morning. Fortunately most of my softwares run on Vista also, but the only essential software lacking is Microsoft Office! T_T I shall search for it soon…

LOL! I thanked papa! =D More photoshopping, and I haven’t figured out how to use the integrated camera. xD

Version 4 – ???

Woots! New blogskin, done from scratch in 3-4 hours! The coding part took me a much shorter time than the first. Yes! Blog featured photo is Ashin and Selina, with lyrics from S.H.E’s [???].

Currently still fixing some things. Do tell me how you think of this new look! Thank you! =D
