Woah! I want more table tennis sessions in future! Sports seriously can help to destress.
Stopped by at AMK to buy a new bat, because the rubber on my old one wore off (and I need a more decent one). Then went to STTA with Aud, Ade, Eve, Joselyn and Candice.
When we went to the counter to book the tables, Aud saw a stack of Li Jiawei’s postcards placed inside the office, and excitedly asked the lady to give some to us. OMG, she really sounded like an excited fan and all of us, including the lady, were laughing at her. LOL!
Played for 3 hours - wasn’t that tiring, but really fun though I haven’t played TT since ages ago. Unfortunately, my back hurts now, probably due to my wrong footwork. But I hope to have more TT sessions soon!
BTW, saw Sun Beibei having her training there. Woah…smash smash smash~ The other 3 players - LJW, FTW and WYG - are all playing in the Volkswagen Women’s World Cup in KL now.
ZOMG! FTW beat Guo Yue!

It’s work for the next 5 days again. Boohoo~ I’m looking forward to our badminton session next weekend!
Friends say working takes your life away…now I understand. Furthermore it’s cheap labour, and OT without extra pay. Now I can only pray hard that there will never be OT, because I was just, unfortunately, transferred to work on another important project with a tighter deadline. =(
The first few days were extreme boredom, nothing much for us to do. Imagine playing a 2 minutes game, which doesn’t interest you at all, from start of work till the end. I became a zombie. But yesterday was fun, gambled online with fellow colleagues and I was so hooked onto it. Winning money is easy, but losing is even easier.
2-3 years later, if you’re going to IR’s casino, jio me okay! Next time when I become a gambling addict, you know who to blame. =P
Okay, I hope you didn’t take my words too seriously.
Alright! 1 week down, 11 more to go! NO to OT!!!
Too many things happening recently, I just wanna look forward to our table tennis session later on.
All these table tennis craze…
Was still hesitating late at night whether I should go for the table tennis stars’ autograph session at AMK Hub. Part of me was lazy to wake up so early to go to the event which starts at 10am. Yet there was quite a number of friends who tempted me to go. T_T
Woke up kinda early and told Ade that I’ve decided to go. Haha… When I took the escalator down to NTUC’s entrance, one person caught my eye immediately. Tall, wearing shades and red & white sportswear, talking on her phone - yes, Li Jiawei! Was completely stunned for a few moments, then went on to look for the queue. =.=
Got the queue ticket & poster from the security guard, and requested for two more, because Ade & Joselyn went to look for Eve to get the pingpong balls to sign, but he refused to give me. Poor them, couldn’t reach in time to get the last few tickets for the autograph session. =(
The event started with the offcials talking for almost an hour. Sorry, couldn’t help feeling restless…wasn’t even listening to them at all.
The autograph session finally started at around 10.45am. Whoa, first time I see people taking out so many barang-barangs for people to sign. Besides posters, signing on table tennis bats and balls were fine, but I see people letting them to sign on their bags, zi pai-ing etc. *faints* But anyway, this is the very first time I went for an autograph session of non-singers. LOL!

Wooo~ I was the 74th person in the queue. What happened when I went up…
Ade & Joselyn even went to buy bats for them to sign, but the security guard didn’t allow those without tickets to enter. @#$%^&*! So being familiar with AMK Hub (hahahaha!), we knew where they would be leaving to. We rushed to the other exit of NTUC nearer to the carpark, and we were right! They went down the escalator to the carpark, but the security guards blocked us. Guess what? We ran down the stairs beside the escalator! LOL LOL LOL!!! After 2 sessions of chasing, I’m convinced that staircases are very useful in situations like these.
I think the guards thought that we weren’t that smart to use the stairs, so they loosen their security at the carpark. LOL! After Jiawei finally finished talking on her phone, Ade signalled to her to ask if she could sign on the bat, she nodded her head! By then, quite a lot of supporters came down to the carpark already, so the guards blocked everyone from going nearer to the car.
Fine. Haha… We also knew that there’s only one exit in the carpark, so we left the crowd and walked near to the exit to wait for them. True enough, the car slowed down when it was driving near the exit, so we had the chance to wave to them! Wah…but Lee Bee Wah was the first to wave back to us when we were actually waving to the rest of them! =.= Okay, but I saw Jiawei, Tianwei and Sun Beibei waving back. Hahaha!
Craziness! The past 3 weeks, though short, I’ve played really hard before IAP starts next week. At the same time, I have been working on minor projects and a personal project which will last for the whole of 2009. Woots!

Wanted to meet Jing Junhong & Li Jiawei after the Sydney 2000 & Athen 2004 Games, but I had strict parental control then, so had to miss the chances. =(
Finally, this year…

^The banners.

^Supporters waiting outside belt 41 for their arrival.
…I got to meet Li Jiawei, Feng Tianwei and Wang Yuegu when they arrived from Beijing 2008 Games! Woots! So excited, that I wanted to go early to chop places, but seemed like Dajie & I reached toooooo early! =X The arrival hall was pretty empty until 2pm when crowds started streaming in. We got a supposedly good spot, if not for the crazy media who pushed their way through like nobody’s business.

^Tao Li was there too.
Didn’t really manage to take any pictures inside the airport until they walked along the sheltered walkway outside to the Hippo bus. Expecting the crazy media to block me again, I decided to be thick-skinned and climb up the lamp post to get a better view. Yes, I got a good view of LJW, but damn…I forgot to lower the ISO, to the pictures turned out ‘bleached’. Argh! That STTA president even stared at me with her bloody fierce eyes when I was standing up there. Xia dao wo le~~~ =_=
As usual, LJW’s bo chup us most of the time, whereas FTW was the one entertaining us while on the bus…which is why I realized I took more FTW’s pics than LJW. 80% of the pictures with LJW in it, I see chao bin lah! And almost all the pictures of her has the STTA president behind smiling and waving. So extra… =.=

^Pointing at someone somewhere behind me.

^What with her doing this ‘pose’? Haha!

Someone threw the teddy bear, and another threw the flowers, then FTW followed suit. She even pretended to throw her medal to us then show that “nah, just kidding” face. LOL!

^Posing with her medal.

^Pretending to throw the medal to us. LOL!

^Look at WYG’s face! So LOL!

^WYG being funny again. Haha!

Dajie, Eve, Joselyn and I then headed down to Raffles City for the celebration, where it was as crowded as the airport. Took their poster and got more Singapore & Team Singapore flags along the way.
Skipping the boring parts, the athletes finally made their way to City Square at about 5.30pm. Not very interesting…I guess they were all very tired without any rest once they touched down in Singapore.

^Tianwei stayed on the stage to give special thanks to her coach, Liu Guodong.
After the event ended, we tried to track where they were heading to to leave the place. In the end, they took the escalator down, and the rest of us (Aud especially) shouted to them. I was busy trying to snap pictures of them, and missed out when they waving back to us! OMG! =(

^Down the escalator.
We tried the faster way to get down to the ground floor, because the lift was full and the escalator was very crowded with supporters, by running down from the 3rd storey via staircase. Hiong! Once at the ground floor, Aud swing opened the door to the lobby of Swiss Hotel, only to get stares from the police. Haha… I also got stared because kaypoh me went inside to take a look. T_T
Waited outside the lobby, and the media started coming out. Therefore we guessed that it would be the most possible place where the table tennis players would come out from, until one of the reporters shouted, “table tennis, here!” and directed everyone to go to the other exit.
Indeed, they were already on the bus. Couldn’t see any 3 of them though, so we tried waving to the coach. No matter how we tried, we couldn’t get his attention, so Aud passed me her flag and told me to wave to him. I took and waved it VERY FRANTICALLY as I was standing ‘nearest’ to him, and the rest of them went, “OMG! BEE!”, unbelieving I would do that. Haha! But anyway, he didn’t respond lah. =.=
Shortly, they were called to come out for interviews, which were done by the road side. I feared for the safety of some of the reporters. =.= The interviews were freakin’ long…before they finally went back to the bus without looking at us. =( But at least the coach waved back when leaving. Haha…
Woots! It’s so tiring chasing people like that…but it’s all worthwhile. Hee… =)

^The poster.
More in Facebook. =)
Couldn’t recognised her… @_@
